The Tulia ISD Trustees recently adopted the 2008-09 teacher salary schedule which puts Tulia in the top paying districts for similar districts in the Panhandle. In addition, teachers identified as Highly Qualified in math grades 6-12, science grades 6-12, or Spanish grades 9-12 will receive a stipend of $325 per section for these critical need areas, which could result in as much as $2,275 for seven class periods.

Teachers employed by the Tulia ISD for the first time for the 2008-09 school year will receive a $2,000 signing bonus, and new teachers for 2008-09 continuing to teach with the Tulia ISD will also receive a $1,000 bonus the next two school years. That's a total of $4,000 above and beyond the teacher salary schedule.

Tulia has a number of public computer access sites. Those include Swisher County RSVP, Swisher County Library, Swinburn Elementary School, Swisher County Head Start*, Tulia Child Development Center*, First Baptist Church, First United Methodist Church, Central Church of Christ, Senior Citizens, and Swisher Memorial Hospital.
